"...Love ...choose a Legacy..."

pic matt

”Today’s society, world culture, us ...., can pass on our knowledge to the next generation with intent. The result, a substantial legacy to be carried on.
By practicing the habit of truly “Loving-oneself” by dying to oneself, it takes away the biggest hindrance
in our lives. Our ego, our self, our Id; with out that self doubt and criticism, along with everything else that comes with it, we allow room for Love.
It naturally is a remedy to identity crisis, loss of purpose, loss of oneself, etc. Because My Identity is in something that Endures all things. My purpose is an enduring purpose that is without end. ...

“If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.” 1 Corinthians 13

Though I have failed and will continue to fail, I do know and can say with all confidence as the verse above states; it doesn’t matter if I sacrifice myself, my possessions, or my career.  If I live a life where I do not Abide in Love, then it has all been for nothing. Because what happens when I die? Everything else fades away, riches, fame, beauty, etc. but Love, Love Endures Forever. It is the one thing I can give to everyone I meet, pass on to my children, and build an Enduring Legacy on.

What we choose to abide in, dictates every facet of our lives. There are those who know; and will attest our life can be snatched away so quickly, that your brain cannot even grasp the immediacy. Choose a Legacy. My legacy won’t be of a Victim, Broken, and Dysfunctional. - Posted by laird_abides

"..how to sift through a day..."

“What in the world, in a world of certain loss,
 is grace?...
How do you know how to sift through a day, a life, and rightly read the graces, rightly ascertain
 the curses? What is good?
What counts as grace? What is the heart of God?
Do I believe in a God who rouses himself
just now and then to spill a bit of benevolence
 on hemorrhaging humanity? ...
Somebody tell me: what are all the other moments?”
