spring tulips. flowers ..reflect do not be anxious

Thinking about Spring-- new flowers, tulips- new life all around.

Matthew 6
26 Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27 And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? 28 And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, 29 yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31 Therefore do not be anxious, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' 32 For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. 34 "Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

"As for man, his days are like grass; he flourishes like a flower of the field; for the wind passes over it, and it is gone, and its place knows it no more. But the steadfast love of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear him, and his righteousness to children's children, "  Psalm 103: 15-17

“Consider how the wild flowers grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you—you of little faith! And do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink; do not worry about it For the pagan world runs after all such things, and your Father knows that you need them. But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well." (Luke 12: 27-31)

the desert shall rejoice and blossom like the crocus; it shall blossom abundantly
and rejoice with joy and singing. "(Is 35:1-2)

The blessings of your father [on you] are greater

Family, sons, and daughters are truly a blessing in this short life that passes so quickly.
The promises of God and blessings are a great help in life. As John Bunyan said, "If you want encouragement, entertain the promises." The promise in Genesis 49:26 is blessings "unto the utmost bounds of the everlasting hills!" When I read this I thought of the majestic mountains and hills I have seen with our sons and daughters and how I would give them anything possible if we could give it. So much greater is the blessings God our Father promises.

I read this in a devotional and the verse Genesis 49:26 was mentioned.

"The blessings of your father [on you] are greater than the blessings of my forefathers [Abraham and Isaac on me]and are as lasting as the bounties of the eternal hills;"

The blessings of thy father surpass the blessings of my ancestors, Unto the bounds of the everlasting hills:

"The blessings of your father are mighty beyond the blessings of my parents, up to the bounties of the everlasting hills. " Gen 49:26

"May the blessings of your father exceed the blessings of the ancient mountains, surpass the delights of the eternal hills;"

The great blessing entailed upon that family was increase, which did not so immediately and so signally follow the blessings which Abraham and Isaac gave to their sons as it followed the blessing which Jacob gave to his; for, soon after his death, they multiplied exceedingly. Durable and extensive blessings: Unto the utmost bounds of the everlasting hills, including all the productions of the most fruitful hills, and lasting as long as they last, Isa. 54:10 . (MHC)

"For the mountains may depart and the hills be removed, but my steadfast love shall not depart from you, and my covenant of peace shall not be removed," says the LORD, who has compassion on you." Is 54:10

" save me mom..honey the golden retriever"

"But I call to God,
and the Lord will save me.

Evening and morning and at noon
I utter my complaint and moan,
and he hears my voice." Psalm 55: 16-17

We had a 10 year old disabled child that came for some testing at our clinic and she was so afraid to get  the testing. After a time I asked her if she had an pets at home and she said yes - a dog name Honey. She kept asking her mom to "save her". This left an impression on me. I also thought of how this dog must be special, friendl,y and loving.

"Honey"- similar to Abigail Faith's dog

The temperament of the Golden Retriever is a hallmark of the breed, and is described in the standard as "kindly, friendly and confident". Golden Retrievers make good family pets, particularly as they are patient with children. The typical Golden Retriever is calm, naturally intelligent and biddable, with an exceptional eagerness to please.

Typical Golden Retrievers are active and fun-loving animals with the exceptionally patient demeanour befitting a dog bred to sit quietly for hours in a hunting blind. Adult Goldens love to work, and have a keen ability to focus on a given task. They will work until they collapse, so care should be taken to avoid overworking them.Golden Retrievers are also noted for their intelligence.

Golden Retrievers are compatible with other dogs, cats and most livestock. They are particularly valued for their high level of sociability towards people, calmness, and willingness to learn. Because of this, they are commonly used as guide dogs, mobility assistance dogs, and search and rescue dogs.

So, as i thought about the tempermant of this dog- kind, patient, calm; and the needs of this little girl- dependent, fearful, trusting of Honey; I was moved to consider my heart and my response to those in need. I also was reminded of God's disposition towards us as eager to help in times of need, to rescue in our darkest nught, and His kindness that knows no bounds..

You are Good by Jeremy Riddle
I want to scream it out
From every mountain top
Your goodness knows no bounds
Your goodness never stops
Your mercy follows me
Your kindness fills my life
Your love amazes me
I'll sing because You are good
I'll dance because You are good
I'll shout because You are good
You are good to me, to me
Nothing and no one comes
Anywhere close to You
The earth and oceans deep
Only reflect this truth
And in my darkest night
You shine as bright as day

Your love amazes me
With a cry of praise my heart will proclaim
You are good, You are good
In the sun or rain my life celebrates
You are good, You are good

"...and he hears my voice."
So thankful .

Psalm 119: 68 "You are good and do good;"
